Project Development – Solar Projects

Candidate shall be responsible for Solar Project Development, which shall include day-to-day liaison with various Government Authorities for project related approvals (concept to commissioning and post commissioning) in the State Karnataka  and other southern States of India. Candidate shall also be responsible for coordinating land acquisition related activities for these Projects.

Key Job activities:-

The candidate shall perform the following functions including but not limited to:

Approvals and Permits:-

• Identifying potential sites for development of Solar/ Wind/ Hybrid project w.r.t. power evacuation, land and feasibility
• Planning, preparation, submission & getting various approvals/ permits from concerned Govt Authorities
• Working closely with the Project Development team, follow-ups with Clients and Govt Authorities regarding Approvals and Permits for Projects and related documentation
• Collecting, updating, and sharing market intelligence including competition with HO on regular basis
• SPOC for all OA Projects/ Customers for Permits/ Approvals/ JMR/ billing & settlement of power generation to their respective accounts including discrepancy management in actual and allowed units by the DISCOMs considering banking and other prevailing OA regulations
• Co-ordinate to address customer issues and inter -departmental requirements

Land Acquisition:-

• Identification of suitable land, coordinating with local aggregators/ farmers/ Lawyers for TSR clearance, ATS/ATL, Lease deed/Sale Deed, Change of land use (NA) for timely start of construction and commissioning of Projects
• Coordinate with local aggregators working in Karnataka and other southern States of India
• Shall be responsible for managing/ resolving ROWs and getting land related permits

Qualification And Experience:-

• Bachelor’s degree from any recognized institute.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant & prior experience in Solar Project Development (Approvals and Land related)
• Shall have strong liaising skills at state level agencies and thorough understanding of policy and regulations
• Thorough understanding of the functioning of Solar Park Projects and O&M
• Understanding of relationship management with clients, Govt officials, interdepartmental communication, and other
• Regular visits to project sites, Govt. departments like DISCOMs for streamline/resolution of JMR / permits/ approvals/ credit reports etc.
• Thorough understanding in land related laws and compliances for Solar Projects and Solar Park or RE Projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Software skills – MS office (hands-on), writing letters, understanding of sale deed and TSR related matters
