Product Manager, Multibrand Vestas Chennai Job Posted : Jun 10th, 2021 Job Description SBU ASP > Service, ASP > Service Commercial The ASP Service Commercial Department is guiding the continuous and profitable growth in the Service business across Asia Pacific (ASP) by selling service solutions for any Renewable Energy asset and by any OEM – Vestas or Non-Vestas (multibrand). The different service solutions are typically relating to one of the following business areas: Long-term Operations & Maintenance agreements Transactional sales of Parts & Repair solutions Sales of upgrades, performance improvements, end-of-life and repowering solutions. The ASP region consists of the key markets Australia & New Zealand, India, Japan as well as Greater Asia (incl. South-East Asian countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan as well as Pakistan, Mongolia, and South-Korea). With a portfolio of approx. 9.5GW of non-Vestas turbines under service, Vestas is the wind industry’s largest multibrand service provider. We currently service all major turbine brands, and we do this with the same adherence to high quality standards, that we are known for applying to our service of Vestas turbines. And the number is growing. Vestas’ multibrand capabilities range across more than 30 non-Vestas turbine models, and new models are added to the list, as we build knowledge and capacity to service them in accordance with our quality standards. In just a few years, we have grown our multibrand service business to span across five continents, 24 countries and 370 sites. As the Product Manager, Multibrand ASP you are overall responsible for building the bridge between customers’ technical & commercial requirements to Vestas’ capabilities within the Multibrand area across both, contractual and transactional revenue streams. You will be an integral part of the deal & account teams, supporting our Service Sales & Account Managers in each country / sub-regions of ASP in developing tailored solutions on non-Vestas technology. As Vestas multibrand offerings continue to evolve into new technologies you will have the opportunity to also be a vital part in global Multibrand developments improving the regions service capabilities. Overall, you will have the opportunity to drive the Service Commercial agenda for multibrand activities in ASP on both, Strategic level Operational level Tactical level to generate continuous business growth from maintenance agreements and transactional products (parts, repairs, upgrades). Responsibilities: Strategic Level: Guiding Product Management for contractual & transactional multibrand offerings in the ASP region Establishing and maintaining great market, customer & competitor understanding regarding their requirements, capabilities, offerings & solutions in the multibrand space Formulating multibrand strategy for the ASP region, including a 5-year rolling business plan and financial forecast for contractual & transactional multibrand revenue streams Collaborate closely with the global (or regional) technical teams in the launch and marketing of new multibrand offerings to ensure smooth & maximal commercialization across ASP Operational Level: Owning financial & operational performance of multibrand portfolio in ASP and forming “bridge” between Service Commercial and Operations teams on daily basis Reporting, monitoring and evaluating performance of contractual & transactional multibrand products on an ongoing basis Co-owning the ASP-wide pipeline and financial forecast for Multibrand revenue streams Defining & supporting the implementation of cost improvement initiatives together with various key stakeholders within ASP and globally Providing continuous input to price & cost models for multibrand solutions based on latest commercial, technical & operational insights Supporting regional Service Operations teams in new technology introduction & new market entry by advising on required capability building and operational readiness Developing necessary support mechanisms and processes within ASP to facilitate scalable and industrialized multibrand execution in ASP Tactical Level: Acting as subject-matter expert and providing technical & commercial sales support for contractual & transactional multibrand offerings Providing technical product information & other supporting materials for sales pitches Participating in sales pitches and customer meetings to support on multibrand-specific technical & commercial questions Providing deal support with regards to structuring, optimizing and value maximizing multibrand deals Supporting on service sales governance for multibrand deals (e.g. deal review meetings, risk evaluation & mitigation strategies) Qualifications: Bachelors / Masters degree in technical area like Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Production Engineering with relevant commercial experience or good commercial affinity Bachelors / Masters degree in Business, Economics or Energy with extensive technical know-how about Turbines and their components Relevant work experience with other Turbine OEMs, Independent Service Providers or IPPs with internal Service Organization of professional advantage Relevant experience in growing technical negotiations with customers or acting as technical advisor to internal commercial stakeholders of advantage Professional skills in English, both oral & written Competencies: Results-driven and solution-oriented mindset Innovative & strategic capabilities to connect technical requirements & competencies with short- and long-term commercial opportunities Solid business understanding & financial literacy with a desire to constantly improve your commercial skillset Good communication and inter-personal skills, enabling internal engagement of stakeholders across functions and persuasive presentations in front of customers Ability to explain technical details to people with varying background and translate to customer value Team member with ability to work in a multi-cultural context as part of a regional & global matrix organization Natural team-oriented person who always takes on responsibility and improves actions with high accountability Structured and consistent approach to tasks while being comfortable operating in a creative environment and sometimes stressful situations Good MS office skills, especially Power Point and Excel What We Offer: We offer you the opportunity to make a difference and to work in a multicultural and international company, where you have the possibility to test your skills and develop professionally.
