Product Engineer – Reflux Technology

As the Mechanical Engineer – you will be responsible for the design and detailing for Reflux Technology Products. The role is required to analyze difficult, and occasionally complex, engineering problems. Responsibilities also include directing the efforts of other Engineers, Designers and Drafters. This role is crucial to ensuring that FLS can continue to support the design, engineering and delivery of new and complex product design projects.

Responsibilities:-

• Works with minimal supervision
• Responsibility for design integrity of project
• Responsible for on-time, on budget, quality of engineering packages for individual projects
• Works on standardization, product improvement, and development efforts of product line (Value Enginering)
• May work on research and development projects
• Supports technical development of members within the team
• Travels to job sites and regional offices as required in support of equipment problems, installations, and sales efforts
• Assists operations with manufacturing problems and implementation of low cost sourcing initiatives
• May assist in development of design standards / guides, guide specifications, and design control procedures
• Analyzes complex design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures
• Reviews and approves design drawings including 3D
• Reviews customer specifications
• Performs and Reviews mechanical calculations
• Promotes a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company’s operational activities
• Participate actively in team environment and contribute to successful completion of team goals.
• Accept accountability for both individual, and team performance.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.  Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Safety.
• Any other duties as reasonably directed by your Supervisor.

Qualification And Experience:-

• Mechanical Engineering qualification with 5+ years experience in a similar role.
• Experience in Solidworks, Autocad, PLM (Enovia or Similar) and Ansys are added advantage.
• Ability to analyze and solve complex engineering problems through the application of advanced knowledge.
• Passion for concept development and mechanical design.
• Ability to prepare engineering drawings.
• Proficient in manufacturing processes, materials and global quality standards.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
