Product Engineer II

• Work with global multi-functional project team
• Manage sustenance engineering tasks for Medical products and related documentation.
• Understand the functional requirements of a product and ensure that the design changes meet the functional requirement
• Work on trails data, carryout statistical analysis, and reports
• Generate 3D models (Plastic & Sheet metal) & drawings using Creo / SolidWorks using any PLM/PDM tools
• Produce detailed Engineering Drawings, update existing drawings as per change requests
• Create and edit Engineering BOMs and routers according to requirement
• Deliver required documents as part of phase gate process
• Work with PLM, EC applications and ENG. doc. management systems.
• Properly document and internally communicate all technical discoveries, inventions, and intellectual property.  Maintain confidential and proprietary information and communications as property of TE

Education/ knowledge:-

• Bachelor’s in engineering (Mechanical); M.S. in Engineering a plus.
• Demonstrated product development experience

Critical Experience:-

• Minimum three or more years of related Medical product design and development engineering experience.
• Hands on experience using Minitab for, capability study, gage R&R studies, tolerance stack up analysis
• Proven technical contribution through creative product design

Competencies:-

• Innovative mechanical design skills including but not limited to frequent use of 2D and 3D CAD (Creo and/or SolidWorks) modeling and Model Based Definition, and GD&T
• Can-do attitude, resourceful, action oriented, and drive for results.
• Good problem solving and project management skills.
• Ability to effectively manage and motivate others to meet deadlines.
• Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise and experience working with overseas suppliers/customers.  Willing to travel globally if needed.
• Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills in English language.
