P&ID Designer

As the successful candidate, you will:-

• Adhere to and promote the Hatch corporate safety culture
• Be responsible for development and production of P&ID drawings/ deliverables in Bentley’s Open Plant environment
• Assist in the resolution of all P&ID related issues and also co-ordinate with other disciplines through interactions and strive to meet project quality, schedule and budget objectives
• Coordinate work with the lead engineer/ designer, including taking responsibility for timely completion of deliverables
• Review check and be responsible for quality of drawings prepared by self and of others in the team, if required
• Prioritize project or program discipline actions for the purpose of achieving deliverable quality and adherence to schedule
• Ensure correctness of data on P&ID’s using data manager in Open Plant environment
• Be responsible for quantity assurance by adhering to HATCH’s procedures for maintaining check prints throughout the complete lifecycle of the drawings
• Resolve or get issues resolved throughout project lifecycle as required
• Apply industry best practices, applicable procedures, PLP’s

Essential:-

• Diploma in Instrumentation/ Piping Engineering/ Mechanical or equivalent
• More than 5 years of similar experience on projects
• Experience with P&ID in OpenPlant software
• Good safety awareness
• Extensive experience in Bentley’s tools
• Experience with multidisciplinary design coordination
• Sound knowledge of workflows for Instrumentation systems
• Understanding of other discipline requirements
• Willingness to stretch, take ownership, quality conscious
• Openness to do multitasking
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:-

• Prior experience with Smart Plant P&ID’s
• Experience within a large project, multidisciplinary EPCM environment
• Good software skills & Strong quality focus
• Experience in mentoring and supervising designers
• Exposure to software platforms viz. Microstation, Blue Beam, Autocad etc.
