Operations Support Associate (Cost Mgmt)

Job Description

Support the IMDS Project Managers in providing transparent cost control to operations projects administration. Liaise between Operations and Finance & Administration (F&A) on matters. Regional coverage for Middle East and North Africa projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:-

Functions:-

  • Ensures all timesheets are collected
  • Ensures approved client worksheets are collected
  • Input time to Peoplesoft Time & Labour and ensures accuracy of payroll
  • Prepare billing summary and draft invoice details for PM approval, submit to client for SO creation or to F&A for invoice creation
  • Receive Service Orders and approvals for ongoing project work
  • Requests new Service orders for new projects
  • Submit new project documents to F&A for project number creations (PNRF)
  • Run reports for management use
  • Liaise with F&A team on any unbilled revenue and outstanding SO’s
  • Follow up with client to obtain approvals for processing unbilled revenue

Qualifications And Experiences:-

  • Diploma or degree qualified Financial, Business, Admin  or related Administration, Planning, Organizing.

Required:-

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of effectively supporting project teams (E)
  • Minimum 3 years within oil, energy, construction or similar industries (P)
  • Experience in supporting finance dept. with invoicing details
  • Ability to communicate with multi cultural team of technicians and engineers for projects (E)
  • Ability to work independently in most circumstances and use initiative to propose and implement changes to work practices (P)
  • Ability to write accurate and concise communications (E)
  • Ability to communicate effectively (E)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:-

Computer Skills:-

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Peoplesoft, MS Project, Primavera
