Mechanical Structural Analysis Engineer

This position is responsible for performing finite element analysis for multiple products. This position will require working on multiple projects related to product development and customer submittals. Individual is required to coordinate with business unit engineers to ensure overall quality and on-time delivery of customer submittals

Responsibilities & Requirements:-

• Understand the requirements for design validation, perform finite element analysis and provide report with good engineering judgment
• Provide solutions to optimize the design or to resolve the site related problems
• Perform linear and non-linear structural analysis, dynamic analysis, thermal analysis, fatigue analysis.
• Conduct engineering calculations (like shaft deflection, pressure boundary evaluation, thermal heat transfer etc.) to validate FEA results
• Collaborate with other teams and business units to get the required information to execute the projects.
• Provide solutions to resolve the problems in design by consulting Supervisor/Senior engineers

Preferred Experience / Skills:-

• Graduate in Mechanical engineering with 3 to 5 years of total experience and minimum 2 years of analysis experience using ANSYS.
• Good knowledge of Analysis software’s (ANSYS and Pro-Mechanica) and 3D CAD software’s (Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks and Pro/E)

Required Skills/ Competences:-

• Strong fundamentals of mechanical engineering
• Good knowledge in vibration analysis
• Familiar with manufacturing processes and metallurgy
• Previous working experience in pump industry would be added advantage
• Working knowledge on International standards (ASME, ANSI, API)
• Excellent analytical and creative skills
• A high level of self-motivation, flexibility and self-learning aptitude
• Ability to handle changing priorities and multiple tasks
