Manager – Systems Engineering

• This role is to provide leadership for systems engineering function for various product & technology portfolio of EATON Vehicle Group. This includes multiple product offerings for HEV, BEV and FCEV such as transmissions, 48V systems, air-compressors, advanced powertrain and power electronics. The manager shall connect with stakeholders, technical experts, project team members to define systems engineering work packages for the team and ensure quality of deliverables. Define the capability roadmap for model based systems engineering framework to assist strategic goals of the product lines in electrification domain. Recruit, coach and build high performing teams to be best among systems engineering domain. Drive the identified operational, perforamnce metrics for the team across project life starting from ideation to start of production.
• Connect with stakheolders in product engineering, program manangement, chief engineers and technical experts to define systems engineering work packages
• Lead the development of system engineering work processes in line with MBSE / SysML framework and multi-disciplinary system level simuation & architectural studies
• Collaborate with cross functional teams, global stakeholders to define the resource needs in  internal CoEs and manage external services for specific needs (ex:AUTOSAR)
• Define processes for compliance, verification & validation for vehicle electrification system requirements in Functional Safety, AUTOSAR, ASIL and Cyber-security
• Work with scrum masters and technical product owners to manage work delvierables for the team at individual assigned project levels
• Evaluate tool-chain for quality, efficiency and inter-operability, propose integration of tools / software and introduce new tools with business rationale
• Coach, mentor team members for expertise in systems engineering, their individual development in line with EATON leadership model and career avenues
• Maintain high standards of compliance to organizational process and measures in terms of operations, continuous improvement and capability enhancements
• Encourage systems design thinking and resourceful to guide the project teams in devising solutions for new products, technologies and current production systems

Qualifications And Experiences:-

• Ph.D / Masters in Mechanical / Automotive / Mechatronics / Electrical domains
• 9 ~ 12 years of demonstrated experience in vehicle mechatronic / Embedded product development
• Systems Engineering (V&V), Requirements Engineering, MATLAB / Simulink, Rational Rhapsody / PTC Integrity, HiL / SiL Tests / Validations.
• Shall have hands-on experience in development of ECU / Controllers through V&V cycle for at least 2 projects for Vehicle domain
• Excellent drive to learn, execute with people and CFT in an agile environment, embraces uncertainty and works through in creating a value for the business units
