Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:-

  • Manage the India order processing & logistics team responsible for wing to wing order management & fulfilment processes for AMETEK India customers.
  • Coordinate with global factories on shipments, freight forwarding, customs clearance, invoicing, logistics/dispatch & credit control.
  • Ensuring closure for getting the coordination activities done including freight forwarder & customs authorities for import clearances for AMETEK & for AMETEK India customers working on diverse import modes including High Sea Sales, CDEC etc. and coordinate for duty draw back provisions where relevant.
  • Assist in developing pricing approaches, updating to the price list based on feedback from business/prospects & business development team.
  • Work closely with BU leaders to review & manage AMETEK India inventory with rigor around reduction of aged inventory & optimize the stocking models.
  • Drive month close processes checking the Orders and Sales numbers and reporting the same to India leadership teams including the BU leaders.
  • Adherence to statutory, regulatory & internal policies & process controls to ensure compliance across order management & fulfilment processes.
  • Partner with finance team on document storage, retention & on-demand retrieval for indirect tax, customs clearance including IDPMS & EDPMS.
  • Work closely with SOP leaders from Europe regions for process standardization, benchmarking & best practice sharing.
  • Managing contracts & connects with local & international freight forwarders.
  • Coordinate with IT for ERP upgrades & enhancements relevant to changes with regulatory requirements & business process requirements.
  • Identify & drive process improvement initiatives within SOP & cross functional processes.
  • Strong analytical & organizational abilities with adeptness in Documentation, Inventory Management, inventory management & indirect sourcing.

Position Requirements:-

  • 10+ years of experience in handling domains including order management, sales administration & commercial / taxation.

Required Skills:-

  • 8+ years of experience in leading order management & logistics teams.
  • Experience in working with senior leaders across sales & finance functions with hands on experience in interacting with customers related to order recognition, fulfilment & taxation.
  • Knowledge of ERP – preferably Microsoft Navision – including order management, inventory & sales modules.
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to interact with business leaders.

Qualification:-

  • Bachelors Degree in Business/ Commerce/ Engineering.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical skills and exposure to ERP systems.
  • Team Management.
