Manager Renewable Engineering (Control & Instrumentation Engineer)

We are seeking a leading role in the Renewable Engineering Control & Instrumentation (C&I) division for our Renewable Energy (RE) Power Plants which will be a mix of Solar, Wind, and BESS systems. This position is responsible for C&I engineering which includes major development of control architecture of complete solar + wind + BESS Hybrid power plants from generation to POI (Point of interconnection) point. Candidate should have depth of knowledge in designing, developing, and preparing engineering deliverables, and review and finalize those documents for construction and commissioning purposes. A mix of experience across state-connected and ISTS-connected Wind and solar power plants will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Developing control architecture for the complete RE power plant including Wind, Solar, BESS and power plant controller
• Preparation of technical Specification of hardware components required for setting up the control and communication system of the RE plant.
• Preparation of design, architecture and control logic for the communication and control of the RE plant.
• Gathering and defining project requirements, features, list of equipment and tags, preparing cable schedules and tagging philosophy,
• Selection of suitable industrial protocols for various requirements, including inter-plant, Transco, and SLDC communications
• Carry out loop testing/software testing to ensure that the developed logic is in line with the proposed control logic of the RE plant.
• Witness FAT of any custom-made panels and controllers
• Ensure complete integration of the control and monitoring infrastructure on the ground and support the O&M team for troubleshooting any issues.

Qualifications and Experience:-

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering/ Electronics & Instrumentation engineering. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in renewable energy project development, Substation control Engineering up to 132kV, and Project Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Solar PV-based power generation control and wind power generation control. Control of BESS power systems will be an additional value.
