Manager Quality Control

You will be working as Quality Control Manager , reporting to Operations Manager and will be part of Service division in Motion Business Area, based in Bengaluru, India. You will be responsible for deploying and supporting a Quality Culture within local ABB, by assuring and controlling Quality with systems, tools and teams to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations. Supporting and maintaining the Quality Management System of the local unit.

Responsibilities:-

• Assisting in the implementation of effective internal controls to verify that processes will meet customer and stakeholder requirements. Validating that control plans are applied and effective in mitigating known risks
• Managing Incoming, In process and Final quality inspections and supplier Quality
• Utilizing ABB Group aligned systems and tools to assist the engineering function with product data and analysis to validate that products continue to meet operational and customer expectations throughout their lifecycle
• Utilizing the local quality management system to provide the local teams with procedures and documentation that sufficiently describe their work activities
• Leading the local teams in the application of an operational approach and system of process management that is continually evaluated for effectiveness
• Performing audits and uses quality data analytics from all parts of the operation to identify risks, failures and non-conformances within the local operations, its manufacturing line, suppliers, and customers
• Assisting in the application of appropriate corrective and preventive action and manages solutions to closure

Qualification And Experience:-

• BE / Diploma in (Electrical & Electronics) with minimum 5 years of experience in Quality field
• Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, ISO45001:2018, preferred Lean Six Sigma GB certified
• Expertise in supplier Process and sustainability Audits and Customer complaints handling. Incoming, In process and Final quality inspections, CTS/CTQ/CTP
• Experience in Quality/Process Improvement Tools: 4Q,L6S, 7QC tools, FMEA, QAP/QCP, VSM, APQP/PPAP
• Knowledge on basic statistical analysis & illustrations and ability to achieve business competitive excel-lence through process improvement, decision making & problem-solving tools
• Software Skills: SAP ERP QM & MM, MS-Office (mainly: excel, word & power point, Power BI), MS-Visio, MS Projects, preferred Minitab.
• Preferred to have EH&S, 5S, Continual Improvement
