Job Description

Manager – Finance will assist in financial reporting, audit process, internal controls & risk assessment, finance operational processes, direct, indirect and international tax compliances,litigation management and foreign trade policy benefits.

Main Responsibilities:-

  • Ensure compliance with current accounting standards (IGAAP and Swiss GAAP), lead implementation of new accounting standard (Ind AS) and review /develop processes and procedures to accommodate business changes/accounting requirements.
  • Supporting in designing new business transaction to ensure, accounting principles, system structure and tax various compliances.
  • Leading strategic & finance transformation projects for finance process atomization and to achieve operational efficiency.
  • Finalization of monthly Swiss GAAP, annual IGAAP financials. Independently handling audit co-ordination for Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Internal Audit & GST and other Audits. Laise with external/internal auditors, ensuring that timescales are communicated & agreed. Audit requirements are met timely to ensure audit sign off with no qualifications before scheduled board meeting.
  • Preparing monthly/quarterly Financial Statements, Cash Flow Planning & Monitoring, ensuring compliance with internal deadlines, oversight of accounting ledgers accuracy, review of journals, reconciliations, ledger analysis, accounts classification / synchronization with SWISS reporting & Local GAAP reporting, overall scrutiny of sub-
  • GLs and GLs, support in automation and streamlining monthly reporting and closing process.
  • Preparation and circulation of internal MIS reports such as yearly/quarterly/monthly variance analysis of actual expenses with budget / forecast and monthly circulation of expense report to management, DSO report, KPI dashboard etc.
  • Extensive Co-ordination with AR, AP, Treasury and Payroll accruals to ensure timely clearance of unreconciled items, resolution of intercompany mismatches, Forex revaluations, AP Accruals and Prepaid amortization.
  • Ensuring asset capitalization, disposal and depreciation entries are passed in time to facilitate timely book closure. Facilitates asset labelling and annual physical verification. Active participation in AR and AP old dues/payable clearance.
  • Inventory valuation, standard cost updation as per budget every year and ensuring accurate inventory reporting during the financial year along with daily physical verification of inventory in line with group guidelines.
  • Close monitoring of net working capital and improving the cash flow to service business funding by internal accruals.
  • Computing income tax provisions and preparing deferred tax workings on a monthly basis and preparing advance tax calculations on quarterly basis as per Indian Tax Laws.
  • Control Authority for all Statutory Liabilities like TDS, GST, Advance tax, self-assessment tax, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, custom duty etc.
  • Monitoring monthly, annual GST returns, tax assessments and government audits.
  • Detail knowledge of foreign trade policies and agreements, implementation of various FTP schemes and monitoring benefits realization. Working knowledge of RoDTEP, Duty drawbacks, export rebates and refunds, status holder, AEO tire I/II/II schemes.
  • Preparing and collating Tax Audit Schedules, income tax assessment details required for Tax audit, TP audit and tax assessment at various appellate levels.
  • Ensuring Secretarial related ROC annual compliance and maintaining minutes of meetings statutory registers, and Board resolutions in collaboration with appointed company secretary.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls, responsible to support improvement of overall control environment.
  • NSO monthly and annual compliance and independent filling of annual report along with liasoning.
  • Any other work assigned by Management.

Qualification and Experience:-

  • Qualified CA with 8-10+ years’ experience in finance role, mainly in financial reporting process.
  • Candidate having an experience in SAP FICO reporting process of MNC is a must.

Critical Skills and Personal Attributes:-

  • Proficient user of Microsoft Windows tools, finance software’s and reporting tools.
  • Strategic and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent team player and should be able to manage team of 1-2 members.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • SAP FICO module strong working knowledge is a must.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry will be a preference.
