Manager – Engineering OFA

To lead the different activities in the OFA Engineering Team at Product Company Dapodi (PNB), we are looking for the OFA Engineering Manager whose mission is the following:

Mission:-

• Your Mission is to manage and develop the OFA (AIF and AIH) Engineering team with the ambition to maximise the product leadership of the Product Company Dapodi.
• The primary mission of OFA Engineering team is be a Competence Center for Piston machines and localisation center for AIF. The main activities are to design, calculate, specify and technically support the Core Elements  and solutions engineered within PNB
• You will focus on innovation as well as operational and cost efficiency of our OFA units.

Responsibilities:-

• Manage the OFA engineering team to develop new products based on the design from the division, to follow-up and further localize the products currently in production, against the committed time, cost and quality requirements.
• Give strong guidance to OFA Engineering team to comply with the common CtP process.
• Focus on cost reductions and lead special cost reduction projects as decided in the OFA PCM. Make VK and PK costs transparent for all AIF and AIH products produced in Dapodi Plant whilst maintaining a high level of confidentiality. Concentrate on consolidated cost pictures.
• Take the lead to expand the export business out of India and lead these export projects in close cooperation with Division.
• Coach the team members in order to grow the team and develop the team members
• Guide the engineering development process for the different projects. Set up a time frame taking the available resources and priorities into consideration. Respect to the set planning once the project plan is approved by the PCM. Represent projects at the divisional PCM’s.
• Safeguard the quality of the design and make sure that all engineering employees know, master and respect the CtP, design rules and QA procedures.
• Work closely with Sourcing and Manufacturing Dept. and provide sourcing engineers with the required technical information.
• Work closely with Engineering Dept. of PNB and the Group’s product companies involved regarding the design of the different products.
• Represent the interests and be the voice of the OFA Division within the Engineering Department
• Supervise the outgoing product audits to make sure the engineering standards are continuously met
• Develop the team as a competence Center for large Piston units (Medium and High Pressure air) sold in the Indian market as well as for export.
• Support agility in managing efficiently the Standard+ product offering

Qualification And Experience:-

• University degree or above, major in mechanical engineering or related area. Master’s degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum 10 years product design and development experience in mechanical engineering, preferably 4 years managerial role in multinational production enterprise.
• Experience in coaching and project management is a must.
• Experience to work within the Airpower organisation is a big asset
• Having a proven experience on AIF and AIH products is also a strong asset

Knowledge:-

• Good presentation, business communication and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in the use and development of IT tools (PLM, Office 365, ERP)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent command of English language
• Design of compressors
• NPD in line with the Atlas Copco group
