Job Description

The SENIOR PME is responsible for stakeholder dialogue and negotiation and internal as well as external communication related to the project.
In crucial issues, the SENIOR PME prepares recommendations for approval by the Steering Committee, initiates actions accordingly, e.g. corrective actions and approved changes.

The SENIOR PME is also responsible for:-

  • Creating, maintaining and aligning project Main Time Plan with time plan from functional areas and related projects.
  • Managing the project cost – establish, forecast, follow-up, analysis of deviations, challenge, define priorities.
  • Securing funding releases from Decision Body
  • Developing, releasing and maintaining the Project Description.
  • Establishing the contract, taking the commitment, requesting the needed resources for the project, regardless of whether those are inside or outside GTT.
  • Contributing to leading the Pre-Study, depending on the specific assignment, together with Product Planning in industrialization projects
  • Acting as the primary negotiator for the feasibility study and for balancing Prerequisites vs. Project Description.
  • Driving the project according to Process Defined. Being the primary point of contact with concerned project(s).
  • Fulfilling the project scope
  • Securing Gate deliverables/tasks according to PAP.
  • Identifying, driving and implementing lessons learned.
  • Pro-actively identifying and creating action plans, communicating impact and alternatives to reduce risk throughout the project
  • Proactively coming with proposals/solutions to the Risks/Issues being observed.
  • Drive Process Initiatives to either set a New WoW or for process Improvements
  • Senior PME – might need to engage & drive Quality issues observed wither from within the Project or from Market – Strong Focus & drive would be needed for the same
  • Strong knowledge on Quality Tools & a detailed approach to RCA’s
In case of an Advanced Engineering project, the SENIOR PME promotes a deep technical reflection within the project and pushes the most promising innovations within the project to deliver technologies as part of complete systems which meet defined requirements and pre-requisites.

Within Maintenance project setup, the SENIOR PME also has the following responsibilities:-

  • Defining/Assessing PMR maturity at handover stage with authority to decline inclusion if not ready
  • Providing/maintaining a holistic overview of product changes (e.g. Complete Truck Delivery report or similar) for each Introblock introduction and coordinating actions to ensure a successful introduction.
  • The Maintenance Senior PME may also have additional responsibilities depending on site delegation.
  • The Senior PME is also responsible to lead the PM’s in their project work and to secure cross functional work with leadership and motivation. Driving the resolution of main project issues as a task force leader, anticipating future issues and prioritize activities.
  • A Senior PME shall be a role model to his/her project team and to the entire organization.
  • A Senior PME may need to represent the team in various Forums to drive the activities assigned
  • A Senior PME also focuses on Sustainability thru working on areas of Climate-Resources-People

Qualifications:-

  • Graduate/Post Graduate in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Automotive Engineering or other equivalent education.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Powertrain related areas.
  • You have good knowledge in complete driveline (Engine, Gearbox, Axles)
  • You have been leading with success several projects
  • You hold a PMP® certificate
  • Agile/SAFe WoW Knowledge would be an added advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Having a Truck driver license would be an added advantage
