Eaton Corporation Recruitment Lead Engineer - High Voltage Connectors Job in Pune, Maharashtra

Job Responsibilities:-

Understand market and customer requirements specifically in High Voltage Connection Systems in the EV / Industrial segment.
Benchmark, compare various architectures, and develop value-added high Voltage connectors Vs competition.
Determine innovative ways to meet customer requirements, including Packaging, Performance, Manufacturing feasibility, and Reliability.
Define technical proposals/concepts based on new RFI’s & RFQ from different Global /Regional customers, Review with Engineering Management /Sales/Customer to submit viable technical product proposal to create business win opportunity for Eaton.
Based on Requirement, Define overall size, fastening, current rating, protection, and mounting for electrical connectors and terminals in line with CPA/TPA, USCAR standards, and applicable HVIL requirements.
Apply Engineering principles for stamping and plastic molding of the electrical connectors and terminals along with the DFM&A thought process to ensure ease of Manufacturability and Assembly
Work with Cross functional Engineers to ensure detailed models and drawings for concepts with GD&T controls are created validated and verified.
Prepare design review documents along with program managers for NPI execution and lead the Work package approvals (WPA) along with the WPA committee.
Must have hands-on experience and knowledge of design and material selection for shielding, high-performance seals, and thermal insulation.
Must have 10+ Years of experience in developing Connectors in adherence with standards such as USCAR-2, USCAR-25, USCAR -27, USCAR -38, ISO 8092-1,2,3,4, SAE J 1742, T4V4S3, RoHS, DIN, IEX, UL, etc.
Must have knowledge of Electric vehicle layout, Connector Engineering, Competition & Local Suppliers
Use of DFSS tools such as Requirement Management, P diagram, Boundary Diagram, Product Design scorecard, Risk Management, DFMEA, DOE, Design Analysis Plan (DAP), Design validation plan (DVP) & APQP
Must Have strong hands-on experience in 3D CAD software to create innovative, automotive connector systems, preferably NX .
Collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes product engineers, modeling and simulation, and , manufacturing to define the concept design and take it forward towards launch thru CV, DV, PV phases. Execute the tech/capability roadmaps for connectors.
Need to have a ‘Go Beyond mindset’ to win new business based of innovative solutions in HV Connector space. Strong presentation, communication & and leadership skills needed to drive the technical decision /conclusions “

Qualification And Experience:-

Master’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering with 12+ years of experience in Electrical/ Automotive Industry, in that 10+ years from High Voltage Connectors research, Development and launch.
Hands-on experience in high voltage connector product design and development . Plastic injection molding and stamping parts design, Manufacturing and assembly experience. Connector material selection, coating specification, and testing knowledge

Skills:-

GD&T, DFSS tools, DFM/A, DFMEA, DVP, Pro/E, ENOVIA, Engineering Change Management process. Understanding & Interpret Decision from FEA Result.
Excellent communication (oral and written), and presentation skills, Team player with highly effective interpersonal and collaboration skills, Business acumen, and Drive for results
Ability to operate with minimal supervision and excellent critical situation handling skills.”
