Lead Engineer – Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Vestas Chennai, India Job Posted : Oct 7th, 2022 Job Description The Product Solutions & Integration is responsible for designing the product architecture and product roadmap in response to market roadmap requirements, translate product architecture and roadmap into module requirements, and full value chain integration. Product Functions is part of Product Solutions & Integration and works on behalf of the product owner with the responsibility of developing and maintaining relevant strategies, requirements, technologies, and concepts of our wind turbines within established areas. We are strengthening the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects team (E3) in Product Functions Noise & Environmental Effects where you will be joining in the position of E3 Lead Engineer. The team is responsible for design guidelines, strategies and requirements within the following areas EMC, EMF, Internal power quality (IPQ), Radio Equipment (RED), LV protection, grounding, and lightning protection. In essence, we ensure robust and compliant design of our products. We are involved in new turbine development as well as maintenance and optimization of our existing fleet. Responsibilities:- As part of the team your primary tasks and responsibilities are: Scope and implement product and technology projects Define Product level and associated module level requirements for E3 Create technical documentation (Concept, Sale, Design, Test, and test conclusions documents) Ensure alignment and generic solutions for all E3 areas across our products Provide in depth analysis of standard interpretation for stakeholders, customers, and certification Support and conclude on product level verification activities Provide guidelines for design, verification and documentation needed for component and system design and certification. Guide and support compliant design. Qualifications And Experience:- As an ideal candidate you are expected to have: M.Sc. or B. Sc in electrical engineering, or similar studies Extensive experience within at least one of the E3 topics (preferably lightning and or EMC) Experience within all design discipline: Requirement setting, System design, Test specifications, Test execution (lab and in situ), Test reporting, Root cause analysis and Certification Solid communicator with great stakeholder management skills Capable of working in a large international organization Competencies:- Methodical and structured way of working In depth knowledge and experience with IEC 61400-24 2019/IEC 62305 and/or EMC directive Technical leadership including ability to handle stakeholders, coordination, planning, reporting, knowledge sharing, etc. Self-motivated, Committed and a team-oriented person Solid communication skills in English (both written and verbal) Location:- Chennai, India.
