Jr. Structural Engineer – GFS

• Burns & McDonnell India has exciting opportunity for Jr. Structural Engineer interested in growing their careers in an organization listed among top 10 mid-size Great Places to Work in India. The company has a full complement of professionals with expertise in Architecture, Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Structural engineering, Construction, and Project Management to serve the facilities market in North America region. This group provides engineering services for facilities which includes but not limited to data centers, manufacturing, commercial, food & consumer product, and aviation.
• We are looking for an experienced and energetic structural engineer to join our growing Global Facilities team in Mumbai office to lead and support structural design activities on projects mainly in North America region.
• The successful candidate will report to the department manager and will assist in building the structural team to support future facility design projects

Responsible for analysis and design of various super structures and foundations for industrial facilities:-

• Responsible for design of site grading, roads, pavements and drains.
• Preparing detail design calculation report and reviewing the detail drawings and layout
• Geotechnical report review, analysis and provide comments/clarifications
• Review of equipment vendor drawings and fabrication drawings.
• Capture internal client requirements and if needed, advise them regarding structural/civil systems/requirements available to meet their needs and comply with safety codes.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, client(s) and other stake holder(s) to develop a clash free system design.
• Responsible to manage the assigned scope within agreed schedule and budget.
• Willing to advance in career by taking increased responsibilities on projects and organization.
• A committed team player able to work on own initiative.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good Communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to self-check and produce accurate work.

Tools:-

• Exposure to any design software/tool like STAAD Pro, Risa 3D, SAFE, ETABs, etc.
• AutoCAD
• Knowledge of Navisworks will be added advantage
• Knowledge of REVIT (Structural) or AutoCAD Plant 3D will be an added advantage.
• Microsoft Office Tools – MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Outlook, OneNot

Qualifications And Experience:-

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution. Masters in Structural Engineering an added advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skill
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of working experience in Civil/Structural design for industrial facilities.
• Understanding of codes and standards (ASCE, ACI, IBC, AISC etc.) and its applicability for practical design of industrial facilities.
• Dynamic personality, eager to learn and interested in a stable commitment.
