IT Data Analyst II

What your background should look like:-

We are seeking a Data Management Analyst to join TE Connectivity’s Industrial Solutions (IS) Segment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work as a key member within our Analytics Centre of Excellence (A-COE) team. To be successful in this position, you should have solid experience in working with the AWS Cloud environment in addition to testing and validating optimal processes for onboarding, ingesting and managing data flow architecture. You will have previously worked in a team support role and have a general idea on the end to end process for application development and streamlining. The successful candidate will have equally worked with task scheduling and monitoring of EC2/server performance and troubleshooting where needed.

Responsibilities:-

• Work internally with team members to provide data onboarding architecture, testing and recommendations for solving business problems.
• Continually optimize the data flow process, working closely with IT support on managing and scaling server and data storage solutions to meet business demand cost effectively.
• Support Data Analysts using mainly Python and SQL to perform data extraction and other data interrogation related tasks for troubleshooting.
• Support the modeling and creation of datasets using Python and/or SQL to be then used for self-service dashboard reports or applications. Have deep knowledge of all the datasets inside the data lake to be able to provide guidance to other analysts and/or stakeholders on data architecture.
• Work with S3, Data Lakes and help construct Data Pipelines.
• Monitor and manage server related tasks and CRON jobs whilst working with TEIS to transfer maintenance of any self-sustaining/established processes to secure long term infrastructures.
• Support on security and authorization, ensuring compliance in data usage

Qualifications and skills required:-

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data analytics, computer science or equivalent related field
• 2+ years experience in AWS Cloud
• 3+ years of Data Preparation/Management using Python and SQL
• Possess strong knowledge of Python and SQL
• Proven experience using AWS EC2, AWS Redshift and S3
• Proven experience in working with Redis and overall task management
• Proven experience working with common data sources including SalesForce, SAP, Oracle, Excel, GitHub, Denodo and company data warehouses
• Experience with Dask an advantage
• Experience in deploying Machine Learning Python algorithms an advantage
• General knowledge and experience with ERP and Business Intelligence systems
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and database software
• Ability to validate own work and work of others, results oriented, customer focused, team player
• Strong business facing communication skills
• Fluent in English (verbally and written)
