IS Solution Architect-Business Intelligence

This is a IS Solution Architect role, reporting to the Data and Analytics Lead in Business Area Electrification (EL) located in Bangalore and will be for responsible for the design, integrity and quality of an IS solution and of associated IS services delivered to Business, Support Functions and IS Technology Domains as the case may be and will be also responsible for ensuring that the IS solution/service providing the required functionality and meeting the cost expectations of business, collaborating with and contributing to project set-up and delivering as well as servicing Operations optimization.

Responsibilities:-

• Cooperation and collaborating with IS solution architects across IS delivery units.
• Engaging in requirement analysis to decide which requirements are covered by available, standard functionalities, for which functionality enhancements are needed and for which functionality workarounds are accepted.
• Keeping knowledge up-to-date regarding new and emerging IS technology and IS industry practices, bringing learning
• Into ABB all within the scope of the relevant IS solutions.
• Collaborating with users in projects and problem management to maintain, develop and deploy the best feasible and most cost efficient IS solutions/services for the business.
• Ensuring manuals for users are created to describe the operating procedures.
• Consulting, giving advice and supporting the installation of new IS solutions/services, or the changing of existing IS
• Solutions/services.
• Consulting the users to identify and learn about current procedures and to clarify further requirements.
• Providing guidance to IS project management and IS delivery unit teams on how to utilize IS application/solution
• Standards (e.g. SAP) effectively.
• Communicating project delivery related decision demand towards project and service management in collaboration with the Global IS Domain Architect to ensure resolution and avoiding delivery issues.
• Contributing to IS Problem and IS Incident Management goals to address ticket volume by detecting re-occurring defects and eliminating these.
• Supplying the IS Service Manager(s) with relevant stakeholder information related to IS solution/services.
• Providing support to temporary work teams, guiding and monitoring task completion, sharing expert knowledge and
• Advice with/without carrying line responsibility.
• Driving adoption of future Business Intelligence product releases ensuring alignment with overall release strategy and
• Plans for global Business Intelligence solutions.
• Supporting Level 3 services to Applications Operations teams for functional support.
• Advising project delivery (ABB or 3rd party) on approaches to Business Intelligence service design, build, delivery and
• Tests ensuring adherence to best practices and IS delivery framework.

Qualifications And Experiences:-

• Any Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Information Technology.
• 10-15 years experience and minimum 5-6 years as solution architect.
• Strong technical skills and applied knowledge in Attunity Replicate / Qlik Data Integrator,
• Attunity Compose for Data Lake, Attunity Compose for Datawarehouses, Snowflake Cloud Datawarehouse, Python.
• Ability to communication effectively.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail / detail-oriented.
• Ability to identify problems and address them to resolution.
• Consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member’s contributions.
• Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential.
• Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner.
