International Service Engineer PureBallast

Responsibilities:-

• Execute PureBallast international field service requests that are received through the International Marine Service Desk.
• Diagnose, solve, and report solutions and improvements on board of vessels to definitively solve the customer’s problem even when third party equipment or installations are involved.
• Perform PureBallast troubleshooting with full autonomy on board of vessels in the requested port, and if needed, sail with a vessel until the problem is solved (e.g. for on the job training on niche products both for customers and local Field Service Engineers).
• Provide qualified service on customers’ PureBallast systems and surrounding equipment.
• Change PureBallast components, upgrade equipment and control systems, perform commissioning and re-commissioning, perform audits, safety checks, and advice/coach local FSEs, customers and crew in product usage.
• Consult Global Technical Specialists before, during and after the international field service (if needed).
• Get central help proactively and use the ISE network, and then report the findings to keep colleagues informed.
• Build relations to customers and crew.
• Prepare service reports and Field service job documents as per guidelines.
• Review SOPs and provide field feedback if needed.
• Work together with other international marine service team members as a team, and act as a technical support backup to Global Technical Specialists and Global Coordinators if so required.
• Able to Work weekdays and weekends or outside normal working hours when needed, following local rules and requirements.
• Follow-up with visit requirements; VISAs, permits, spare parts, equipment etc. needed to perform the field service.
• Travel as needed to execute international field service, participate in trainings, team meetings etc., primarily in the own region (Americas, EMEA or Asia) but also globally when needed.
• Assist in performing local PureBallast field service jobs.

Qualification And Experience:-

• Diploma / Graduate with Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years field service experience on vessels
• Knowledge on different types of PLCs, their communication protocols, Remote communication process.
• Experience of working in CRM systems and planning tools
• Good communication skills.
