Job Description

The Head of Rooftop Solar will be responsible for driving strategic growth, managing sales & marketing initiatives, and leading the execution of rooftop solar projects across targeted markets. The role requires a dynamic leader with strong expertise in business development, team management, and customer relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:-

Strategic Planning & Business Growth:-

  • Develop and implement strategic sales & marketing campaigns to drive growth in the rooftop solar segment.
  • Identify new business opportunities, prospecting & lead generation, and expansion strategies.
  • Work closely with senior management to forecast, budget, and plan business operations.

Sales, Marketing & Key Account Management:-

  • Build and nurture relationships with key accounts, corporate clients, and government agencies.
  • Negotiate and close high-value deals with executive presentation & negotiation skills.
  • Oversee marketing strategies, branding, and digital outreach to enhance market penetration.
  • Manage customer relationship management (CRM) tools to improve conversion and retention.

Operational Leadership & Team Management:-

  • Lead a high-performing sales and technical team, including 12 ASMs and 1 Senior Manager.
  • Develop and implement processes for efficient execution and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring alignment with quality, compliance, and timelines.
  • Drive staff development & management to enhance performance and skill-building.

Financial & Contractual Management:-

  • Manage the P&L for the rooftop solar division, ensuring profitability and financial efficiency.
  • Handle project financing through partnerships with institutions like SIDBI, SBI, PNB, etc..
  • Work closely with government agencies for tender and policy understanding.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and contractual obligations.

Qualification:-

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field

Experience:-

  • 15+ Years in Solar/Renewable Energy Industry
