Grid & Evacuation Manager

Currently we are looking for a Grid & Evacuation Manager- in Karnataka, India to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Grid & Evacuation Manager you will be responsible for all activities related to the Wind & Solar projects grid connectivity, Permit and approval for evacuation system, onsite transmission line construction management including management of sub-suppliers/contractors and potential visitors during the execution phase. This includes all work from progress to quality, as well as HSE, CSR, security, and direct management of day-to-day Construction activities, resolution of ROW. The position is initially based out at Delhi and later it will be at site during the construction phase of the projects to manage the on-site construction activity of the transmission line.

Main responsibilities:-

• Initiating and managing the grid connectivity application process
• Lead the transmission line route survey studies for 33kV and 220 kV voltage levels.
• Lead and supervise during the construction phase of projects i.e., transmission lines, pooling substation, terminal bat at PGCIL substation, etc.
• Responsible of resolving RoW issues for transmission lines along with the Contractor
• Interactions with Central Transmission Utility, KPTCL, CEIG, Discoms, Consultants, Contractors, and other relevant stakeholders, etc.
• Lead on site teams of transmission line and evacuation system
• Monitoring and reporting of the Sub-EPC’s performance and the evaluation thereof
• Ensure quality of on-site works are maintained at high standards
• Monitor, verify and review Contractor compliance to quality Assurance procedures, H&S, schedule, EMP and the ESMS
• Support and lead public consultation and stakeholder engagement efforts with local communities, landowners, etc.

Qualifications and competencies:-

• Educational Qualification – Electrical Engineering from reputed university
• Formal Qualification (Construction, Engineering, Project Management)
• 10+ years working experience in a Transmission line construction & Evacuation approval project environment – supervisory/management role This includes the following: • 7 + years management of renewable energy construction and must have executed the transmission line projects from approval to commissioning of renewable projects.
• Fluent both written and spoken in English
• Knowledge of MS Projects, Primavera & Commissioning procedure
• Well-developed knowledge of local language, culture, customs, and practices in the community
