Global Manager, Accounting & Reporting

As the Global Manager for Accounting & Reporting at Sensia, you will get the exciting opportunity to work for a dynamic company and fast-growing finance department in the Center of Excellence.  You will be responsible for the management of whole suite of general accounting activities for company’s global operations within R2R domain, performed out of the support Centre India. You will initially be a key leader driving the successful end-to-end transition of activities from parent company support center to your operations team.

Responsibilities:-

• Drive the seamless execution of all the accounting and control activities involved in Record to report process area: Intercompany, Payroll & Compensation, Project accounting and controls, Inventory, Fixed Assets & Lease accounting, General Ledger, Balance sheet controls and compliance.
• Identify the talent pool, hire and set up a high performing GA team – Strategic orientation towards building a strong & successful team in R2R Domain
• Drive the knowledge capture, transfer, ramp up and stabilization of activities with thorough documentation of the processes and training modules.
• Work closely with Project team to set up various workflows in new ERP for R2R domain = Review the current workflows in existing ERP system, understand the functionality of the new ERP system and set up the GA workflows for future ERP
• Own and manage overall performance of the R2R processes by providing strategic and operational leadership, ensuring effective service delivery, maximum stakeholder satisfaction and team management. Manage the SLA/KPIs around General accounting, reporting and controls.
• Constantly drive efficiencies within operations in accordance with SLA, evaluate productivity & team efficiency
• Ensure BCP (Business continuity plan) in place for all teams & create backups
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Maintain a robust Process Control framework & governance responsibility. Actively represent R2R in the internal/external audits
• Work closely with AR & AP managers, Global controllers and other FP&A team members for smooth closing of period end financial activities.
• Challenge the status quo and bring innovative methods to improve the process through Digitalization, Lean Principles, and Automation

Qualifications:-

• Professional Accounting Degree as: Chartered Accountant or ACCA or ICWA is MUST
• Minimum 12 years of professional experience including at least 8+ years of people management

Desired Skill set:-

• Ability to manage, coach & develop Process leads/Assistant Managers
• Prior experience in managing multiple, international projects / transitions
• Solid/End to End knowledge of R2R process area
• Knowledge and experience with US-GAAP
• Experience within Shared Services Industry would be an advantage
• Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills
• Ability to plan, prioritize and deliver under high pressure
• Proficiency in Office 365 apps
