General Manager, DCK

We are now looking for a General Manager to lead our Delivery Centre Khopoli (DCK) team in India. The position is permanent. The location for the position is in Khopoli, India. In this position, your work will include leading the team at DCK (approx. 90 employees) with role model behaviours and you will be responsible for the strategic developments and financial results of the unit.

Responsibilities:-

• To lead DCK community with Wärtsilä values in mind, fostering openness, respect and trust at all levels in the organization.
• To set and communicate the vision for DCK long term development. Ensure it’s understood at all level of the organization.
• To ensure continuity and continuous improvement of Safety practices in line with Zero LTI targets.
• To secure investments are made in line with strategic development vision for DCK.
• To ensure DCK capacity utilization on products in portfolio is in line with demand needs for Auxiliaries, DG-Sets, Waterjets, Seals & Bearings.
• To organize, delegate and supervise work so that quality will be “first time right” and delivery to customers will be on-time, as promised during sales stage.
• To enable a continuous improvement mindset in all levels of the organization with the overall target to improve productivity, throughput and product cost.
• To ensure EBIT, WCAP for DCK operations are in line with set yearly financial targets.
• To monitor compliance to applicable Quality standards and act upon deviations, promote and institutionalize adherence to Standard Operating Procedures Development responsibilities.
• Secure a smooth ramp up of Waterjets manufacturing capability and the related industrialization plan, ensuring on time and in quality delivery to the customer and liaising with Propulsion Business Line.
• Deliver business case and ramp up plan of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing capability, in line with specifications and technical guidance from Energy Storage business line.
• Lead people in DCK community with role model behaviours: ensure Personal Development Plans are made and implemented, act upon My Voice fee back.
• Benchmark with external industry and set industrial capability roadmap for DCK Authority.
• In line with statutory requirements (factory head).
•  Approve recruitment of personnel.
• Approve request for investment.

Qualifications And Experiences:-

• Graduate Engineer in Mechanical, Electrical or Production;
• Additional Six Sigma or PMP certification, and MBA are considered a plus Experience.
• 10+ years experience in leadership roles in production, supply chain or manufacturing with proven track record of results, preferably including P&L accountability.
• Proven capability of building high performing teams.
• Engaging and hands on leadership style.
• Capable of handling complex negotiations.
