Gas Turbine R&D – Design tool developer

Energy, Siemens Limited India is seeking a responsible, professional, and self-motivated individual to join the Technical Tools group within Gas Turbine R&D, Gurgaon as a ‘Design Tools developer’.  This position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, global product development environment.

Primary responsibility is to design, develop, and maintain the existing software tools landscape which the product engineers use to design Gas Turbines.  Specifically, this position will work on the applications and interfaces that link the design process chain tools together, from geometry to manufacturing.

Roles & Responsibilities:-

• Follow Agile/Scrum method in building a stable and robust software design environment which consists of multiple interfaces, translators, integration tools and automation scripts
• The focus of the design environment is reducing the time to market in the rapidly evolving product R&D space
• Clean coding and implement efficient algorithms
• End-user Support
• Interface with global software developers from the technical tools group and design engineers to gather requirements
• Apply software development lifecycle process for the analysis, design, implementation, testing and validation for building the application

Qualifications And Experiences:-

• Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering undergraduate degree with solid understanding of software design and development OR Computer Science with Computational Geometry expertise and integration with Engineering tools such as CAD/FEA/CFD
• Minimum 6 years as a professional software development experience
• Testing methods and technique to ensure bug free and stable software required for building mission critical apps
• Software configuration management using GiT
• Knowledge about gas turbine design process is preferable
• Aware about the engineering product design and development part of the overall product lifecycle management
• Practical working knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and/or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

Skills required:-

• Strong background either in C# / Python / C++
• Knowledge of NX Open
• Working knowledge of GiT
• Working knowledge of CAD
• Linux and Windows operating systems
