Field Service Engineer_Lifecycle Services

You will be working as Field Service Engineer and will be part of Process Automation business area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and you will be primarily responsible for executing service work with low to medium complexity according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. Delivering quality customer service to satisfy customers. In close co-operation with customer and other ABB teams, take actions to identify new Service business opportunities for ABB.

Responsibilities:-

• Performing medium to high complex service tasks including programming, testing, installing and commissioning of Automaton system (DCS or PLC) for Process Industry. Performing the field service tasks, identifying technical problems and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products
• Taking the ownership and ensuring customer queries or system related issues are resolved on time. Developing and maintaining a good relationship with customers through professional approach and understanding their needs
• Ensuring that HSE practices are of high standard, working to eliminate unsafe practices, incidents, being aware, adhering to the safety procedures and requirements at work locations
• Preparing documents and procedures for system maintenance, standard operating procedures, backup, recovery procedures, preparing all documents and customer reports to be signed by the customer representative
• Troubleshooting equipment or process failures and requesting proactive corrective actions and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future and troubleshooting hardware and software problems
• Identifying potential system failures through system tools and diagnostic information and takes corrective actions. Documenting learnings and providing customer support in on demand fashion

Qualification And Experience:-

• Diploma or B E in Electronics or Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5 to 9 years of work experience in Industrial Automation like oil and gas, power or Process Industry
• Experience in any of ABB automation platforms of System 800xA, Symphony, Advant (AC450, AC460)
• Experience in programming, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning in DCS or PLC systems with onsite work
