Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electric Vehicle (EV) Engineer with a deep understanding of EV components and systems. The ideal candidate will have significant hands-on experience in the design, development, and validation of EV components, including battery systems, electric motors, and inverters. This role requires proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical engineering fundamentals. The candidate will work on battery management systems and e-drive systems, ensuring the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Apply in-depth knowledge of EV components, including battery systems, electric motors, and inverters.
  • Utilize simulation software like MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and simulating various EV components and systems.
  • Apply engineering principles in electrical machines, power electronics, and control systems to the design and development of EVs.
  • Develop and manage Battery Management Systems (BMS) with a focus on battery chemistry, BMS design, cell balancing, state-of-charge (SOC), and state-of-health (SOH) estimation.
  • Implement and manage e-drive systems, including traction inverters, electrical machine systems, switching strategies, and Field-Oriented Control (FoC) systems.
  • Engage in system engineering activities such as requirement elicitation, functional analysis, high-level and low-level design of EV components or systems.
  • Conduct verification and validation activities either in simulated or test bench environments to ensure the reliability and performance of EV systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:-

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4 to 8 years of industry experience in the design, development, and implementation of electric vehicles or their components.
  • Proficiency in using simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Strong foundation in electrical and mechanical engineering fundamentals, particularly in electrical machines, power electronics, and control systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS), including battery chemistry, design, and operation.
  • Deep knowledge of e-drive systems, including traction inverters, electrical machine systems, switching strategies, and FoC control systems.
  • Experience in system engineering activities such as requirement elicitation, functional analysis, high-level and low-level design, verification, and validation.
