Engineering Quality – Turbine COE Specialist

Job Responsibilities:-

• Be responsible for embedding quality assurance tools, techniques throughout the scope of the product COE.
• Promote Quality and change culture within function, act as coach on topics including FMEA, APQP, Risk Management, etc.
• Manage overall risk for project design by leading risk assessment to quantify and reduce risk, and cost of poor quality with multiple stakeholders to meet organizational goals.
• Utilize principles of six sigma, be able to drive improvements through the product COE’s from DFMEA through to ITPP/control plans.
• Ensure root causes analysis and the preventive actions are defined and deployed for major quality incidents.
• Work with multiple challenging situations with data (large, complex and sometimes with gaps) and be able to lead a team forward to solve a business problem.
• Support deployment of Quality Package including (ITP / ITPP, MPP, Control Plan) with aim of reduction in escaping defects and quality cost.
• Support the deployment of the Hydro Management System and coordinate with leader for ISO9001 certification in the Function.
• Directly lead, or support process owners, for improvement actions on key processes and activities in the Function, watching over delivery of measurable results.
• Monitor KPI values in Function BSC for problem identification and continuous improvement.
• Support Quality Assurance Leader / Manager for deployment of reporting architecture for Quality Suite tools including NCR, RCA, CoPQ / CoQ, Lessons Learned etc.
• Drive the process for lean, continuous improvement with multiple stakeholders (Engineering, Supply Chain, Project, C&C, Fleet support, etc).

• Has good interpersonal skills and effective team building skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English. (French / Chinese / Hindi / Portuguese / German would be a plus).
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and lead virtual, global, remote teams
• Ability to understand business processes, issues and translate into solutions
• Experience and good performance working in multi-cultural diverse teams
• Able to think outside of the box to bring creative, sustainable solutions to complicated problems
• Statistically literate and familiar with quality concepts and tools
• Effectively communicate risk on new products to key internal and external stakeholders
• Sound leadership skills with ability to coach teams in an uncertain environment
• High flexibility and motivation
