Engineer – Switchboard Electrical Designs

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering in Mechanical
• 6-8 years of experience in product design
• Minimum of 5+ of experience in Medium voltage product development
• Experience leading program/ project through all stages of the product development cycle
• Experience in short circuit, temperature rise, arc test in accordance with IEEE/IEC standards
• Hands on experience in product development leveraging DfX methodology
• Engineering technical expertise to solve problems and make design recommendations
• Proficient in Inventor and 3D modelling
• Knowledge in Agile ProLaunch and PreLaunch processes
• Experience in product costing and analyzing cost break-up due to various manufacturing processes/ design features
• Experience in test object requirements, plan for assembly and finalize test parameters & instrumentation
• Knowledge of power systems, switchgear, Fuses, Switches
• Sound technical knowledge in Electrical products like MV Switchgear, Circuit breakers, protection equipment etc.
• Thorough understanding of IEEE/ IEC standards, 3D modelling in inventor, Creo & SAP knowledge
• Extensive experience with product design, cost out, agile methodologies
• Soft skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Problem solving skills, Working in ambiguity, process management
