Engineer / Sr Engineer – Tooling Design

Manufacturing Tooling is part of COO Engineering services department in EBSC. This department has expertise in Engineering data analysis,Technical documentation, Product/ Process Quality control, Business Process, Tooling design, Test systems, Enterprise Asset Management, ERP solutions and Project management, would support Vestas global strategies through process optimization, production support, test validation, cost control and E2E Project Management. The tooling design team is responsible for developing and maintaining concepts, processes and tools for Manufacturing & Production of wind turbine components/assembly. We impose creative solutions and bring continuous improvement culture to make Vestas vision come true.

Responsibilities:-

• Accountable for providing the most robust, committed, efficient tooling design solution with highest performance for Manufacturing & Production of wind turbine components/assembly.
• Accountable for understanding, clarifying and reviewing tooling design specification, design verification & validation, design risk associated in manufacturing value chain.
• Contribute to cost reduction and improve quality through standardization, modularization and process efficiency improvements.
• Ensure cross functional collaboration with relevant interface owners throughout the value chain.Deliver the technical solution within quality, time and cost targets of the project.

Qualifications And Experience:-

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or allied.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Tool design and /or Product design in Heavy Engineering Industry.
• Experience in Mechanical design and specification in compliant to the relevant international standards.
• Experience in working in an intercultural environment.

Competencies:-

• In-depth knowledge in Structural Mechanics is essential.
• Experience in 3D-Modeling and 2D-drafting, for example using Creo/ PDMlink and project execution through ERP/ECM systems.
• Knowledge on FEA (for example ANSYS/Pro-Mechanica).
• Exposure or Experience with International engineering standards like ASME/EN/ISO. Etc. Exposure to CE marking/DFMEA/risk assessment etc. needed for product development.
• Knowledge of design for manufacturing and for instance insight into wind turbines, e.g. welding processes and material properties.
• Work experience with lifting tools and structures.
• Good Communication Skills which enable you to convey to a wide range of stakeholders across the globe.
