Job Description

Remote Monitoring and Day to Day Operations management for onshore/offshore assets:-

  • Monitoring of all safety critical & process critical signals for onshore/offshore assets, report any abnormalities to concerned OEM/asset focal for quick action.
  • Track availability of plant & report real time forecasting of power generation to energy off taker.
  • Perform detailed fact-based analysis of assigned problem to provide clear definition of opportunities, threats, findings, and solutions.
  • Operations support for day-to-day activities which includes People & vessel Inductions, Permits for work & Manifest for vessel.
  • Act as first point of contact for Emergencies, track real time weather, vessel & personnel always to provide needed support.
  • Review Method statements & Risk assessments prepared for maintenance activities.
  • Improve productivity by ensuring the resource, special tool, material, and service requirements availability before the job begins.
  • Possess strong digitalization mindset to be able optimize work processes and resource utilization within the team.
  • Constantly engage with Project Manager, Field lead original equipment manufacturers, vendors to collaborate & modify maintenance plans as recommended/required by the asset partners.
  • Review completed work for learnings after completion and close out project.
  • Identifying & resolving the bottlenecks and implementing changes/improvements in the processes.

Project deployment & Proactive technical monitoring of onshore/offshore assets:-

  • Contribute to remote monitoring & operations deployment for Brownfield/Greenfield portfolio projects and work closely with the OEMs and IDT Teams.
  • Create technical monitoring plans for equipment based on criticality and deploy these plans in exception-based surveillance tools.
  • Filter true alerts from the system and provide recommendations/actions to asset engineers to mitigate the same.
  • Support assets in achieving their KPIs through monitoring – help in improving process efficiency, reliability, health of equipment and over all process.
  • Working with process technologies and ability to give technical expertise to the business in Wind & Solar
  • To develop processes for safe system of work for safe and reliable execution of site activities from remote support.
  • Support SCADA monitoring and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including process engineers and IT, to integrate SCADA systems with IT and OT tools.

Key Experiences and Qualifications:-

  • Require BE/B-Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 Plus years’ experience with Operations & Maintenance background in Oil & Gas / Petrochemicals / Power sector / Renewable business.
  • Should be experienced in Operations, Maintenance & troubleshooting of Static & Rotating equipment like Pumps, Gearboxes, Compressors, Vessels, Turbine, Valves, Exchanger’s, etc (or) Electrical Equipment’s like Motors, Transformer, Switchgear, VFD’s, UPS & Battery systems depending on education & experience background.
  • Good skill level in Analytics using various analytical tools for real-time and non-real time data. Experience in data management and data analytics is preferred.
  • Experienced in conditional monitoring & operational analysis.
  • A strong technical background with process knowledge of renewable power generation and power dispatch operations. This involves knowledge of load dispatch, power trading, offtake management.
  • Control Room Operations experience is an added advantage.
  • Experience in Technical Data and Documents management including processes and tools. For example, experience in SAP PM module implementation, skill in MS Office tools like Excel.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in business communication & Technical reporting.
  • Experienced in working together with multi-cultural teams for shift operations for 24×7 support from central control room.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems, SCADA architecture, and OPC UA topology is desirable.
  • Skilled in MS Office suite is mandatory. Azure/AWS, SharePoint, PowerApps, PowerBI is desirable.
  • Strong aptitude for Learner Mindset
  • Flexibility to move quickly across changing priorities and manage multiple Projects/Programs
  • Ability to independently, resourcefully, and creatively research and implement new solutions.
  • A good understanding of the Upstream/DS/IG & renewables business and how it works.
  • Ability to engage and effectively communicate at all levels inside and outside Shell and within different cultural settings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to challenge and ability to build internal and external relationships based on trust and to integrate across multiple functions.
