Engineer Mechanical Designer

You will be working as Engineer Mechanical Designer, reporting to Engineering Manager for Electrification Business Area for Distribution Solutions Division based in Nashik. You will be responsible for creating and modifying the standard designs of equipment, systems, or installations, including standard specifications for manufacturing, fabrication or construction for assignments classified as low to medium complexity by applying standard design concepts.

Responsibilities:-

• Design engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to contractual specification.
• Create or reviews engineering drawings, specifications and plans required by manufacturing, fabrication, or construction.
• Contributes to design reviews and design verification, modifies design, as necessary.
• Contributes to preparation of specific aspects of design assignments to meet the contractual obligations, while adhering to relevant standards, safety, and quality.
• Participates in project meetings and presents specific aspects of design assignments.
• Actively contributes and shares experiences in workshops pertaining to engineering design, tools, and processes.
• Shares best practices Lessons-Learned documentation across different projects.
• Uses standard processes and tools, assists in developing new processes and tools for reuse of technical solutions.
• Supports technical risk assessments and implements resulting actions for one’s projects.
• Ensures Bill of Material (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations; and project gross margin requirements by not generating Project Left-Over Material (PLOM).
• Identifies and implements variation requests to support contract claims based on the approval from Project Manager.
• Follows work plans and cost estimates provided by the Project Manager and ensures quality deliverables on time and at targeted cost.
• Coordinates with Manufacturing and Testing functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured/staged and tested.

Qualification And Experience:-

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in designing of medium voltage switchgear.
• Strong experience in Medium voltage switchgear products.
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence internally and externally.
