Engineer – Infrastructure

We are looking for Electrical Engineers with Infrastructure design (EHV/MV/LV) and Substation design experience to undertake engineering design roles for projects in the Transmission and Distribution sector primarily in the UK and Middle East. The candidate shall have experience in offshore Transmission or Array Network experience. This is a great opportunity for a suitably qualified person with an engineering consultancy or energy sector background to gain further experience within an internationally renowned consultancy.

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Calculation of Power demand as per industrial bench marking
• Preparation of Single line Diagrams (SLD)
• Preparation of Substation General arrangement drawing equipment layout for Substations both AIS and GIS
• Transformer sizing, cable sizing, breaker sizing, capacitor bank sizing for MV and LV system
• LV and MV cable routing
• Lightning protection and earthing design for substations and buildings.
• Lighting calculation, small power design, cable racking, installation details for the Electrical services.
• Cable racking design.
• AC/DC schematic preparation for substation.
• Clash detection and co-ordination with other Utilities
• Experience in preparation of Basis of design, design report for the projects.
• Knowledge of Relevant Electrical Codes and Standards.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations, voltage drop and cable sizing.
