Engineer – Electrical Design Quality

Module Quality & Customization is an R&D organization part of the Power System Integration department in Vestas Power Solutions. We focus on product development to ensure grid compliance of Vestas power plants. We are a global organization in very close interaction with the market and that is involved in various customized technology activities with our external partners. The core products within Power System Integration include the development of Vestas power plant controllers, the design of advanced products and solutions for grid integration of Vestas plants. As a global team, our engineers are based in Denmark and Portugal. We maintain a close collaboration with our counterparts in Chennai, India, as well as throughout our value chain. This collaborative approach ensures effective project delivery, reflecting our commitment to quality.

 Responsibilities:-

• Ensure and Own the Process for effective Support on Reported Failures across the Module
• Facilitate and conduct RCA, Failure analysis and other quality issues with sub modules and stakeholders outside module
• Ensure closed loop quality by recording and implementing all modes of lessons learned in new projects
• Identify and Initiate Quality Improvements in module
• Assess Process Deviation in module product development process
• Propel the usage of DFMEA and ensure it is updated with new failure modes
• Quantitative and qualitative risk assessment
• Coordination on CTQs with suppliers and colleagues in Global QSE dept
• Propel/Facilitate LPF related projects across sub modules and in other value chain
• Propel Continuous improvement cases (CIM) and Field failure cases across module
• Responsible for Performance Dashboard

Qualifications And Experience:-

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Power System / Power Electronic / Similar Specialization
• 3+ years of experience from Electrical Design and Development, with thorough Knowledge in SW Development Cycle. Capable of defining the vision within the field of Design quality/Reliability
• Good communication skills in English orally and written
• Good leadership and communication skills and capable of acting as a motivator
• Capable of delivering short term results without losing the long-term vision

• Understanding of complex technical systems and ability to organize them in a structured way
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and to establish good team working relations is essential
• Pragmatic, structured and hands-on in your working style; you get things done
• Solid written and verbal English communication skills
• Good experience in working with cross-functional projects
• Good coordinating skills and following-up
• Highly developed Interpersonal skills, a natural curiosity and an interest in people
