DNV GL Recruitments Electrical Surveyor / Electrical Engineer Job in Mumbai, Maharashtra

DNV is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Electrical Surveyor / Electrical Engineer to join our Indian OIT (Offshore Infrastructure and Technology) team. This role will be a permanent position in Mumbai, India. He/she shall be performing various assurance, verification, and advisory tasks for a broad range of customers throughout the entire value chain on- and offshore Oil & Gas / Renewable Energy Development projects. As a Project Electrical Surveyor / Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the various work packages associated with the development of offshore platforms, subsea facilities, offshore wind development and verification of onshore / offshore rigs.
Job activities will include:-

Project daily work: It is expected that the Electrical Surveyor / Electrical Engineer will be involved in verification services for all electrical elements of the offshore platforms, subsea facilities, offshore wind development projects, and onshore / offshore rigs (CAPEX / OPEX). This will include reviewing design and construction of the project as well as safety considerations. The work operation may include offshore construction monitoring, assessment of the project performance, site inspections and assessment of project management. The Electrical Engineer will prepare and deliver technical reports, presentations and discuss methodologies and results with the internal Project Team and the Client.
Conduct detailed technical review and independent assessment of electrical related construction documentation including: o Plans and specifications. o Construction submittals o Test documentation o QA/QC documentation o Inspection and Test Plans o Electrical related drawings and calculations o Electrical commissioning plan
Conduct construction monitoring inspections of projects to verify compliance with: o Construction plans and specifications. o Applicable code requirements and standards and good construction practice
Support Construction Management activities through monitoring/management of costs, progress, contract interface, and quality programs, and facilitation of construction problem resolution
Write detailed reports of reviews and inspections.
Project management skills and desired previous experience
Experience in Electrical design for LV or MV networks
Development, processing and review of technical documentation

Qualified candidates are expected to demonstrate most of the following technical competency items:-

Experience in LV and MV electrical equipment design
Experience in project acceptance tests and commissioning procedures for LV and MV electrical equipment (Equipment test data review).
Experience may also include a working knowledge of offshore cabling regulations, codes and standards.
Project management skills and desired previous experience
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT and Outlook.
Languages: must have excellent written and verbal communications skills, including ability to write clear and detailed technical reports, presentations and emails in English.

Fundamental Qualifications:-

Previous offshore and onshore consulting, construction or operation experience or credentials
Written and verbal English communication skills, comfortable addressing groups.
Proven HSE mindset
Self-starter, quick learner, takes initiative and ownership.
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
High level of integrity and confidentiality
Ability to fit within team and comfortable with working independently for certain periods.
Able to work effectively and professionally with diverse people – clients and co-workers.

Travel:-

Normally based in Project office at Mumbai.
Willingness and ability to travel within India (Onshore and Offshore) and abroad (onshore).

Position Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical Engineering. Specific experience with offshore and onshore electrical works will be looked upon favorably.
7-15 years of Professional Experience in the offshore Oil and Gas sector.
