Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • This position will be responsible to develop, implement and deploy automated methodologies and tool flows that are used to validate multitude of proprietary chips and IP cores/blocks. As a part of the design and verification team, this position plays a critical role in deploying next generation design IPs and verification methodologies through the deployment of semi and full custom EDA tools that are used widely across the globe by various ASIC digital design/verification teams.
  • This position will be responsible to deliver hardware solutions that shall work reliably and safely for space, aviation and ground based applications to enable value generation across product lines for new configuration and solution deployment. The selected candidates should have strong awareness of avionics hardware life cycle development. The candidate will lay roadmaps to incubate new technologies and thereby create value in a product line using next generation hardware solutions.
  • The selected candidate will provide project management guidance and administer multiple projects, develop and administer budgets, schedules and performance standards. This position will develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, suppliers, peers, partners and direct reports to develop collaborative plans and execute on projects.
  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of ASIC/FPGA design and verification.
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
  • Experience in the electronics product development life cycle for sub-systems, LRUs comprising of requirements engineering, architecture & detailed design and verification & validation (DO254, UVM, etc.).
  • Requires knowledge of ASIC/FPGA development and technology including architectural definition, detailed design implementation using System Verilog, and functional verification using System Verilog. Knowledge and competency of UVM and space/avionics radiation effects are preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of aerospace engineering standards for design, testing & certification.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and deploying advanced verification methodologies and flow automations across chips and IP cores/blocks, as well as cross simulation acceleration, emulation and post silicon validation.
  • Experience in radiation hardening analysis and processes for new chip tape outs
  • Experience in avionics LRU developments for high speed communications, data storage, display and mission critical applications
  • Knowledge and understanding of technologies, policies and procedures related to engineering of defense related products. Past experience and demonstrated ability to manage aerospace product design & development and certification testing, laboratory and flight test facilities and relevant work-statements.
  • Skilled in leading/planning to meet schedules and/or resolve execution issues.
  • Technical leadership and Project Management skills to ensure flawless execution of engineering statements of work in India according to EVM.
  • Teamwork is important in this position; individual must have strong team building skills. Must have ability to accomplish results through effective collaboration working with all stakeholders including colleagues in other parts of Boeing, and suppliers. Ability to work well on virtual teams across multiple time-zones and cultures.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team. Must be willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface with Boeing personnel around the world.
  • Communication – strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to prepare comprehensive reports, proposals, Statements of Work, and connect technology to business considerations (e.g., ROI). Candidate must be fluent in English, and familiar with MS Office tools.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.

Basic Qualifications (Required skills/experience):-

  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited course of study in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics is required
  • At least 15 years of experience in Digital IC design and verification.
  • Demonstrated success leading development efforts, including project management and earned value tracking.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired skills/experience):-

  • Experience leading or managing in an engineering organization.
  • Familiarity with FAA DO-254 certification.
  • Demonstrated engineering leadership experience in a major aerospace organization; ability to understand and communicate with USA based Executives/managers, and expert over a wide range of engineering disciplines.
