Digital Electronics Hardware Design Lead

You will be working as Digital Electronics Hardware Design Lead and will be part of Drive Products division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible for with the teams which are developing and validating shippable products for the India and global markets. You will also be a part of global R&D community spread across the ABB MODP division.

Responsibilities:-

• Leading the PCB design and schematics. Leading, designing, developing, integrating, and testing the hardware as per ABB design standards
• Ensuring required tools, process and methodologies are used to meet the product requirements
• Implementing the best possible design to meet product performance and cost benefits associated with it
• Leading Layout of PCB and Gerber file development
• Coordinating and planning design and testing activities according to the project scope and schedule
• Mentoring and leading younger designers by your own example and experience
• Working in close collaboration with project and product managers giving your valuable feedback and ideas to the management and with key component suppliers and partners

Qualification And Experience:-

• Bachelor’s in engineering (electronics or electrical)
• Minimum 10 year of industry experience with competency on digital electronics hardware schematics development.
• Hands on experience about hardware validations and certification example EMI/EMC, functional safety
• Ability to produce digital electronic board specifications, from product or architecture requirements
• Knowledge of the PCB design tools like PADS, Orcads or similar tools
• Innovative and open-minded problem-solving approach
• Understanding and skills on lean R&D development
• Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
