Design Safety Engineer (Mechanical/ Electrical)

Job Responsibilities / Core tasks:-

• Advise (multidisciplinary) based on applicable standards (ISO, IEC, EN etc.)
• Audit the design safety process from start of pre bid phase Sales engineering
• Consulting & Authority for Health Safety and Risk Analyses within project Engineering
• Consulting & Authority for mandatory Health and Safety deliverables (documents) within project engineering
• Verify safety solutions within projects & where necessary discuss these with stakeholders (e.g., PLE/PM/Supervisors);
• Execute site inspection on Design Safety (Mechanical/Electrical/Controls)
• Contribute to continuous Improvement of design safety.

Job Skills:-

• Capable to reduce, evaluate, summarize, decide, present and advise on complex technical safety solutions
• Highly effective in organizing and working independently
• Understanding of the machine directive (2006/42/EC) and experience in the application of safety standards like EN 619; ISO 13849-1/2; ISO 13850, ISO 14122-1 till -4; IEC 60204-1)
• Education in machine safety like CMSE (Certified Machine Safety Expert) is a prerequisite

Qualification:-

• BE. / B. Tech (Mechanical, Electrical engineering) degree from a recognized University / Institution.

Experience:-

• Total 5-7 years of relevant experience from which preferably 4-5 years in machine safety
