Design Engineer – Pumps

This position is responsible for design of pump packages, upgrades, components, layouts and preparation of Bill of material.

Responsibilities & Requirements:-

• Performs work that is varied and complex, under minimal supervision. Consistently apply
• knowledge of functional concepts and prior experience to work assignments.
• Gather all relevant information for each assignment, review all the inputs, understand scope of work and complete the assigned task by meeting or exceeding customer expectation.
• Follow established engineering standards and procedures to produce consistent and reliable results. Refer international standards, project specifications, drafting and design practices approved by design authority and latest approved document by design authority.
• Check each design for compliance to job specifications; design form, fit, and function; safety in assembly, maintenance and operation; method and ease of manufacture; method and ease of assembly; appropriate materials of construction; load and stress due to assembly, testing and operation
• Deliver clear and complete drawings/analysis reports/ documentation/part list, as per the deliverables of the assignment, ensuring On-time delivery and quality. Monitor, advance and sustain performance against a set of approved KPIs; initiate and implement process improvements which continuously enhance performance and service to the customer  Work with other Design Engineers to direct the investigation and resolution of shop floor problems relating to design or quality issues; record and report findings, make corrections and develop and implement permanent, cost effective solutions.

Qualifications And Experiences:-

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 5 years of pump design/ upgrade/similar industry experience or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5 to 7 years of pump design/upgrade/similar industry experience.
• Proficient in CAD design and drafting preferably Solidworks and Windchill knowledge.
• Knowledge of ASME / API/ DIN design standards and material specifications
• Ability to create, review and directly release for manufacturing standard pump component 3D models/drawings and BoM.
• Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Creative thinker, Vibrant, good team player
• High level of ownership and commitment
• Evaluate work, sets priorities and quickly focuses on most critical needs.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
