Design Engineer-Industrial Building Infrastructure

Responsibilities:-

• Planning and design, including review of any existing specific plans for building infrastructure
  [including innovative green infrastructure/low-impact development features built-up and open spaces, parks, parking areas, common infrastructure facility, community facility, etc.), landscape-/street- lighting, sculpted elements, integrated open air/covered recreational and resting spaces,
• Adopt concept of crime prevention through environmental design or CPTED, integrate
  streetscape designs with design of surrounding industrial built-form/urban form, consider diversity/equity/inclusion along with integration of existing/proposed master planning interventions of land use mix/economic-mix/housing mix with social justice for communities in non-processing areas, including adaptive reuse of older industrial use spaces; and recommend any changes/modifications for improvement, if required;
• Ensure/attempt that landscaping designs and design elements prepared under the project
  represent the local character/ native species of vegetation and planting/ a sense of place, through desirable achievement of a public realm, also based on vernacular architecture and inherent/potential diversity of uses;
• Responsible for the feasibility studies and preparation of detailed architectural layouts and
  engineering designs (in consultation with water, road and storm water drainage, and effluent/ wastewater Design Engineers and other Support Staff), working/construction drawings, including engineering cost estimates and item-rate analysis, and specifications of the finalized integrated industrial and common facility infrastructure-related landscaping designs (hard and softscape components) for built-up or open spaces, streetscape and parking areas (including street and site signage/ signs with suggested guideline to be adopted by tenants .
• Design especially on cost-effective basis and duly considering the climate resilience factors for the planning and structural elements as per CRA (formerly CRVA) and climate resilience framework and measures prepared for adoption in detailed engineering design etc., at sub project/project-level, including preparing detailed landscaping/ structural working or good for construction drawings for integrated industrial and common facility infrastructure-related built-up or open spaces-related landscaping designs, streetscape and parking areas-related landscaping designs, parks/ community facilities landscaping in non-processing areas, etc

Qualification And Experience:-

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Architectural Engineering or equivalent
• 8-10 years (Exposure to green building designs is desirable)
