Deputy General Manager

Responsibilities:-

System Design & Engineering:-

• Review load profiles and engineer Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to meet project goals.
• Design, select, and size battery systems, optimizing parameters for performance.
• Utilize simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Homer) for battery system sizing and performance modeling.

Technical Expertise:-

• Deep understanding of BESS design, battery chemistry, performance modeling, and lifetime estimation.
• Knowledge of various battery applications (e.g., power smoothening, peak shifting) and optimization strategies.
• Experience with AC and DC coupled BESS.

Coordination & Integration:-

• Develop battery container layouts and collaborate with electrical, civil, and PV engineering teams.
• Create single-line and three-line diagrams per local codes and requirements.
• Integrate Battery Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and SCADA designs from third parties.

System Performance & Specifications:-

• Model energy storage system performance and develop technical specifications and scopes of work.
• Design hybrid renewable energy sources (Solar, Wind, BESS) and power generation mixes for microgrids using simulation tools.

Design & Engineering:-

• Develop battery enclosure solutions and identify energy conservation opportunities.
• Investigate design factors such as durability, efficiency, and compliance with standards (e.g., IEC, UL).

Project Management & Value Engineering:-

• Drive technical due diligence and perform value engineering.
• Prepare detailed estimates, cost analysis, and as-built designs.

Qualifications:-

Education:- Degree in Electrical Engineering (specialization in power systems, renewable energy, or sustainable technology preferred).

Experience:-

• Minimum 10 years in Renewable Energy Systems (Solar PV, Battery Storage, Wind Energy).
• Minimum 5 years in conceptual design, simulation, and deployment of BESS.

Skills:-

• Proficiency in simulation and design tools: Unit Substation MATLAB, HOMER, Dig SILENT, ETAP, PSCAD.
• Knowledge of battery technologies, value chain, and manufacturing quality processes.
• Familiarity with standards (IEC 62933, UL9540A, NFPA 855, etc.) and grid interconnection standards.

Additional Skills:-

• Experience with power system simulation tools (PSS®E, DigSilent PowerFactory) and microgrid simulation tools.
• Strong project management skills and experience in multicultural environments.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build client relationships and generate business opportunities.
