DCS Engineer

• SW and/or HW Engineering for Boiler / BOP / HRSG or Steam Turbine system, for DCS / PLC retrofit & greenfield projects
• Accomplishing Process Testing of Boiler / BOP or Steam Turbine through Tie-Back Simulation
• Conducting customer FAT (HW & SW)
• Performing site commissioning including HW installation and plant Start-Up

Primary Duties and Accountabilities:-

• Site walk-downs for data collection
• Design and implementation of Boiler / BOP and/or Steam Turbine
• Process simulation & testing
• Pre-FAT, FAT & clean-up after FAT
• Verification and functional testing of I/O interfaces to field devices
• I/O database partitioning for redundancy and fail-safe configurations
• Boiler / BOP/Steam Turbine commissioning & start-up
• Compliance with internal and customer safety and security requirements
• Working with contractors / sub-contractors
• Nurturing smooth collaboration and communication with all stake holders
• Enhancement of bench-strength through structured succession plan for identified skills

Required Skills:-

• B. Tech. / B.E. (ECE, EEE, I&C, E&I)
• 5 to 10 years of experience in Application Engineering for Power and Water Projects
• Proficient language and communication skills; both verbal and written
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and commissioning documents
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to queries from groups of managers, clients and customers
• Ability to interface with vendors & sub-contractors
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ready to take travelling assignment

Added Advantage:-

• Power/Water Plant Process knowledge and CLCS Tuning
• Proficiency with one or more DCS platforms (e.g. ABB Pro Control / Bailey INFI 90, Siemens T3000 / TXP, GE Mark VI, Mitsubishi DIASYS Netmation, Invensys, Honeywell TDC3000, Max DNA, Metso DNA, Alstom Alspa320 etc.)
• Datalinks (Modbus RTU / TCP-IP, ELC, Profibus, OPC)
• Hardware Engineering and Installation
• FAT Experience
