Commissioning Engineer

The Commissioning Engineer will be based in Hyderabad. In this position, you will report to the Manager – Commissioning. The Commissioning Engineer goal is to facilitate a positive customer experience with Nextracker after the sale. The Commissioning Engineer ensures that Nextracker’s product and continuing support exceeds customer expectations and is of the highest quality possible, developing customer loyalty by optimizing the product to the customers’ needs and providing great technical support services. We ask that you do your part in maintaining a safe work environment by working safely, wearing required safety equipment, observing safety rules, and keeping our workplace neat and clean.  This position includes 3 main responsibilities: test and commissioning of on-site customer systems per the arranged schedule with the client, expertise in our technology and system configurations, management of local customer interphase for testing and corrective services.

Responsibilities:-

• Test and commission Nextracker’s tracker installations and provide training to onsite Nextracker employees and partner companies
• Provide tracker controller expertise, supporting controller commissioning process and on-going maintenance.
• Provide technical support for Nextracker customers, ensuring a best in class customer experience and providing product and systems expertise to maximize customer value.
• Manage controller commissioning process for customer acceptance of Nextracker tracker installations for placement of warranty.
• Play a key role in third party qualification for O&M providers.
• Support product development, sales, and marketing as requested.
• Work closely with Remote Monitoring Team providing in the field repairs and documenting all issues.
• Assist as required in field testing of prototype and beta product lines.
• Support in the development of controller technical documentation for Commissioning and O&M, including revision control.
• Be an internal customer advocate within Nextracker.

Qualification And Experience:-

• B.E graduate with (3-5) years of experience in SCADA installation and commissioning from Solar industry background.
• Minimum 1 year of working knowledge on Industrial Communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP, Ethernet IP, cloud computing etc
• Should possess experience in commissioning of solar trackers.
• Development, Testing, Implementation and Maintenance/Modification of Control, Automation and IIoT Solutions.
• Effectively use dashboards, visualizations, and automation to creatively deliver data analytic insights.
• Verbal and written working proficiency in English

Preferred Experiences:-

• Knowledge on python script added advantages
• Should have strong experience in customer interaction.
• Strong problem solving and analytical ability.
