KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:-

• Civil and Structural Engineer with EPC experience in Beneficiation Plants & processes.
• Good experience required in handling in analysis and design of Steel structures like Piperacks, Technological Structures with dynamic loads for Primary crushers, Secondary & Tertiary Crushers, Milling & classification building, Shelters, GMPs, Pipe supports, Trestles, connection design and RCC structures like RCC Buildings, Pits, precast Piperacks, Equipment foundations for static and dynamic conditions. Design of critical rotating machines, specialized tank foundation & CCD foundation design, Conveyor Galleries design & Junction Houses for material handling, Stacker & Reclaimer Foundations for Beneficiation Plants.
• Experience in design of underground services like trenches, pits, manholes and drainage systems will be added advantage.
• Read and interpret Soil investigation reports for the application on project.
• Supervise and Lead a team of engineers and designers in carrying out detailed engineering work for large & medium sized projects.
• Co-ordination with Outsourcing agencies, monitoring deliverables and progress and get the work done as per schedule and manhours.
• Develop histogram charts and schedules, recommend, assign and distribute human power for the execution of engineering activities within budgeted project human -hours.  Recommend cost effective measures to reduce overall manpower costs.
• Review of ITT, identification of scope and technical requirements.
• Identifies areas of concern and risk, and directs the Teams to develop Risk Register.
• Critically reviews design requirements, and identifies areas of optimization and potential cost savings.
• Supervises, reviews, and checks the Civil activities, including Civil Design Basis, Philosophies, Studies. Performs Contract Review exercises and identifies inconsistencies related to scope of work and supply. Identifies and resolves discrepancies and divergences from original proposal by raising technical queries with projects / client.
• Provide clarification and guidance and technical support to construction sites.
• Participates in multi-discipline Engineering Design Reviews and provides all necessary Civil engineering input and support to close out of actions.
• Coordinate with projects and planning on project time schedules, establish target completion dates, ensure target dates are achieved.
• Identify a clear scope of work/supply and accordingly plan/schedule the engineering activities and human power resource.  Identify and quantify total number of engineering deliverables, human-hour allocation, format of delivery, time schedules and other requirements for execution of the work.
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks during proposal/project stage. Consult with HOD and arrange for peer reviews and/or third-party verification/studies as required.
• Promote value engineering and provide cost effective solutions maintaining quality while meeting with project specifications and not compromising design integrity.
• Provides support to Procurement, prepares Technical Requisitions, reviews vendor offers, and provides Technical Bid Evaluation support to ensure design conformance.
• Ensures compatibility and conformance with client specifications.
• Performs related duties as and when instructed by Direct Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:-

• Exposure to FEED/ Detailed Design and EPC projects.
• Knowledge of international specifications and codes.
• In depth knowledge of standard international specifications and codes.
• Knowledge of Safety and Quality procedures. Activity Scheduling and discipline work priorities.
• Software experience
  • Must – STAAD PRO, Mat3D, Foundation3D, Navisworks software.
  • Added advantage – TEKLA, ACAD, other 3D modeling software, GT STRUDL, ETABs.
• Typically, Minimum bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, with minimum 10+ years of related experience working as a Lead for Engineering / Client organization in the Chemical Industry.
