Chief Geotechnical Engineer

Government of India is implementing a Dedicated Freight Corridor project(DFCC). The Work on the Eastern section of the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) between Mughalsarai and Bhaupur (approx 402 Kms) is to be constructed as an electrified (2 x 25kV AC- 50 Hz) double track railway, capable of operating at a maximum train speed of 100km/h. Mott MacDonald’s role is for project management consultancy for the above mentioned project.

Roles & Responsibilities:-

• Supervising contractor’s performance.
• Progress monitoring.
• Quality control.
• System integration.
• Testing and commissioning.
• Co-ordinate with Team Leader.
• In consultation with Team Leader prepare progress monitoring reports.

Qualifications And Experiences:-

• BTech Civil.
• Considerable experience in railway / transport / infrastructure projects as foundation design expert checking civil structural design.
• Experience in similar position monitoring contractor’s performance covering supervision of progress and quality of detailed designs/drawings submitted by the detailed design consultant engaged by the client, covering detailed design of the foundation, sub-structure and superstructure for Viaduct/ Bridge.
• International experience in railway & metro railway projects with modern technology preferable.
• Experience working with international funding organisations will be preferred.
• Excellent in interpersonal and communication skills and client interactions.
