CAD Engineer (Civil) – Solar EPC

Design & Drafting:-

• Prepare 2D and 3D CAD drawings for solar power plant layouts, including site plans, structural foundations, and mounting structures.
• Develop civil and structural designs for solar projects, including land grading, pile foundations, RCC structures, and drainage systems.
• Optimize layout designs based on site conditions, solar panel configurations, and structural stability.
• Work on detailed BOM (Bill of Materials) and technical drawings for execution teams

Structural & Foundation Design Support:-

• Assist in designing foundation and mounting systems for solar panels (ground- mounted and rooftop).
• Provide technical support for soil testing and geotechnical studies to determine appropriate foundation types.
• Collaborate with structural engineers to ensure compliance with safety and load- bearing standards

Coordination & Project Support:-

• Work closely with the Project, Electrical, and Civil teams to ensure alignment of CAD designs with site requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers for design-related clarifications.
• Modify designs based on client feedback, site constraints, and engineering requirements

Compliance & Documentation:-

• Ensure designs comply with IS codes, IEC standards, and industry regulations for solar projects.
• Maintain accurate records of drawings, design changes, and approvals.
• Prepare as-built drawings after project execution for documentation and handover.

Experience:-

• 3+ years in CAD design, preferably in Solar EPC projects

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other CAD software.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles related to solar projects.
• Experience with foundation design, land grading, and topographical analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, survey reports, and engineering drawings.
• Good coordination and team collaboration skills
