CAD Design Engineer – Wind Turbine Cabling

As a CAD Design Engineer specializing in cabling for wind turbines, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of the electrical and control systems within wind turbine projects. Using SolidWorks and other relevant CAD tools, you will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models and schematics, ensuring the efficient and reliable integration of cabling systems in wind turbine installations.

Responsibilities:

• Cabling System Design:
  • Develop detailed 3D models and schematics for the cabling systems within wind turbine components.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for electrical systems in renewable energy applications.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers, to integrate cabling solutions seamlessly into the overall turbine design.
• Prototype Testing:
  • Participate in prototype testing and validation to ensure the functionality and reliability of the cabling systems in real-world conditions.
• Documentation:
  • Create comprehensive documentation, including bill of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and technical specifications for the cabling components.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in cabling design processes and contribute to the development of best practices within the organization.
• Problem Solving:
  • Address and resolve any design-related issues that may arise during the development and testing phases.

Qualification And Experience:-

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in CAD design, with a focus on cabling systems.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Understanding of electrical and control systems, especially in the context of wind turbine applications.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for renewable energy projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.
