Business HSE / Environment Specialist (HVDC)

Responsibilities:-

• Act as a Business HSE Specialist within the HSE function for HVDC project sites.
• Support the HVDC HSE operations and site teams in HSE related matters and the implementation of HSE programs and focus initiatives.
• Support the development of Hitachi Energy HVDC Environmental policies & procedures consistent with Legislation, Hitachi Energy requirements and Construction Industry best practice.
• Provide specialist Environmental support & advice to tendering and project delivery teams.
• Support projects in environmental compliance matters related to communication with government authorities.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively present to stakeholders and management.
• Lead/assist in the performance of special reviews and investigations as assigned.
• Conduct regular site inspections / audits to ensure ongoing permit, consent and organizational requirements are being maintained, making recommendations for improvement as required.
• Work proactively with departmental process owners to define and support environmental deliverables.
• Facilitate the development of a dynamic and effective communication protocol related to environmental deliverables and sustainability.
• Drives and ensures compliance with Group management systems (e.g. ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).

Qualification And Experience:-

• B.E.in Electrical / Chemical / Electronics or M.E. in Health, Safety & Environment.
• Should have minimum 7years of HSE experience in Environmental Management & Project HSE (Preferably in global assignments).
• Sound knowledge on ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001 / ISO 14001 – lead auditor certificate is preferable.
• NEBOSH – International Environmental Management Certificate is required.
