Business Development Manager – Sustainability – Energy Division

The Business Development Manager- Sustainability will be Responsible for business development and Sales activities of Sustainable Solutions in India.

Business Development Manager – Sustainability will be responsible for –

• Will be responsible for positioning Alfa Laval as Sustainable solution provider.
• Obtaining the insights about Alfa Laval product and applications range and strengthening the marketing efforts.
• Taking responsibility of identifying opportunities within the region in consultation with and guidance of Divisional Manager.
• Obtaining trust and developing long term relationships with customers, key customer accounts and potential customers within the territory.
• Building network with existing / new Customers, EPCs , Consultants & Consulting engineering companies and new entrants in Energy sector for driving Sustainable Solutions.
• Identifying new business opportunities.
• Enquiry generation, technical discussions with customer, co-ordination for cost estimation and quote submission, supporting commercial negotiation and order finalization along with Sales Team, Close monitoring of ongoing projects
• Ensure deep understanding of customer needs & requirements and create value in our offering/ quotes to customers
• Mapping of business potential and conversion of potential into real business volume- Assist to increase business volume.
• Understanding of cost estimation and contract terms
• Networking and understanding developments in terms of economic/business development, customer’s business expansion plans, product localization requirements, pricing dynamics etc.
• Provide insights, specific details on monthly/ quarterly /yearly basis for decision making at the corporate level.

Qualification And Experience:-

• 10 years’ experience of Capital goods Sales / Business Development specifically in Renewable Energy, Circularity and Energy Efficiency Solutions / sector in India.
• Min. 5 years in Leadership role.
• Customer relations at Senior Level & Presentation and negotiating skills
• Influencing with no direct authorities / Collaborative,
• Long term Relationship building basis mutual respect and trust.
• Leadership and management skills
• Engineering graduate with Mechanical / Chemical
• MBA would be added advantage.
