Job Description

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and applying market intelligence to drive strategic marketing activities and expand the company’s market coverage. The role involves liaising with industry bodies across India, collecting competitive data from customer sites, and identifying potential cities, states, and territories for business development. The goal is to strategically place direct or indirect resources to maximize territory coverage and ensure the company’s growth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Intelligence Collection:
    • Gather relevant market data from various sources, including customer visits, industry reports, and market surveys.
    • Monitor industry trends, competitive activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities and threats.
    • Collaborate with sales teams to gain insights into customer needs and market demands.
  • Strategic Application of Market Intelligence:
    • Analyze collected data to identify potential markets, cities, states, and territories for business expansion.
    • Develop and propose strategic initiatives to optimize market coverage and resource allocation.
    • Present market intelligence findings to the National Marketing Manager to support the development of marketing strategies.
  • Liaison with Industry Bodies:
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with industry associations and bodies across India.
    • Represent the company at industry events, seminars, and conferences to gather insights and network with key stakeholders.
    • Utilize industry connections to forecast market trends and competitive positioning and discuss with NMM to strategize marketing and product.
  • Competition Analysis:
    • Conduct regular visits to customer sites to gather information on competitor products, pricing, and market positioning.
    • Compile and analyze competition data to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the market.
    • Provide actionable insights to the National Marketing Manager to refine marketing and sales strategies
  • Reporting and Strategy
    • Coordinated with Market Analysts to generate the appropriate Report insights on macro and Micro Economic Trends  and factors that influence our business.
    • Prepare comprehensive market intelligence reports and presentations for the National Marketing Manager.
    • Contribute to the development of time-bound marketing plans and strategies that align with business goals that would help in achieving our Divisional Business Goals.
  • New Business Development
    • Working to promote Industrial Air strategically acquired new technologies in the Indian Market
    • Monitor and evaluate expanded territories’ performance to ensure business objectives’ achievement.

Qualifications and Experience:-

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, market intelligence, or a related role within the industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with industry stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the company’s product range and market presence is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
